Norfolk at Easter

Horsey Mere wind pump
I have just spent a week in and around the  Norfolk Broads, somewhere that i haven't been since a child.  It made a real change from the rolling hills of Staffordshire, and enjoyed those  big skies, windmills and  large expanses of water.  Norwich Cathedral was interesting and we got to spy the resident Peregrines that have nested on a shelf high on its spire.

There were hundreds of grey seals to be seen on the beach  which took us an hour to walk to but was well worth it , I felt a little like David Attenborough!!!!

As it was Easter we visited the church in the village of Belaugh near Wroxham

This simple cross was propped against the wall, and these quirky Kneelers I thought were great, each one depicting a scene from in and around the Norfolk Broads.  I  Love a bit of stitch work and  found them fun and a little bit different .

We even made two new friends that came to be fed everyday in the river at the bottom of the garden.  But all good things  must come to an end and back to sunny Staffordshire we came fully inspired with new ideas for new illustrations.
